Craidorolţ - The Orthodox Church of “Archangels St. Michael and Gabriel”

Built in 1770, it is one of the oldest stone churches of this region. The structure is special for its slender shape given by the tall tower joined to the nave. The building is simple and elegant, marked by the baroque style. The old iconostasis is still kept in the church. The main icons are in the baroque style and they date from the beginning of the 19th century. The icons represent Jesus the Teacher, the Holy Virgin with the child, and St. Nicholas, being recognized as having great artistic value. The dominant color on the iconostasis is gold, conferring to the whole space nobleness and refinement. (DB).
