Satu Mare - The Roman Catholic Church of “The Holy Heart of Christ” (Calvaria)

Albin Tischler, the priest of Urziceni, made the plan of the two-towered church with a polygonal sanctuary. The church was consecrated in 1844, being the first neogothic church in the area. Because of the weakness of the under the foundations, the edifice was renovated in 1907 and 1909. The towers were heightened, and the nave was widened with chapels and a secondary nave. The altar was made by the Austrian craftsman Albin Holzer. The church was taken care by Jesuits during the 20th century. (TSz).
