Tur - The Orthodox Church “St. Demetrius”

The church was built in 1850, and it has an impressive porch, a nave and an apse. The porch has a triangular gable held by four columns. The apse has semicircular windows. The tower is square, with a steeple showing baroque influence, and clocks painted on the each of the outer sides. The sculpture and the painting of the iconostasis are made with great artistry, the characters show expressions of kindness, gentleness and compassion. The iconostasis was made in the 19th century and completes the baroque atmosphere of the edifice. (DB).
